#FeelFreeFriday ~ 60

Holiday season is upon us and going away would not be relaxing unless we knew our canine dependents were well cared for.

A new luxury hotel for pampered pooches opened in Cape Town this December. You can even Skype your dog to see how he/she is getting on

Check it out 🙂

LADY GAGA MAKES ME GAG

Pop star Lady Gaga has no morals when it comes to wearing animals.

Despite many confrontations by anti-fur activists, she continues to wear the skin of murdered animals.

On December 11th 2015, as Lady Gaga left the ‘Billboard Women in Music’ gala in NY, anti-fur protesters met her shouting that the “50 dead animals” on each of her fur garments were either “gassed, anally electrocuted or skinned alive” (see video below).

Lady Gaga glamorises animal fur fashion, which unfortunately has a huge influence on her doting fans.

LADY GAGA IS TOTALLY DISCONNECTED FROM THE FACT THAT SHE LOVES HER DOG BUT ALSO LOVES WEARING ANIMAL FUR!

Here are some photos of our 2015 Worldwide Fur Free Friday event in Johannesburg (SA).

We certainly attracted attention to our anti-fur cause and hopefully made some people think about the cruelty of fur production!blog WFFF4

A BAD COMBO: Money and no morality

Boxer Floyd Mayweather has NO morals when it comes to animals.

He recently wore a coat & hat made out of the skins of hundreds of chinchillas. Chinchillas are bred and killed under horrific conditions for their fur.

Wearing animal fur is bad enough, but Floyd believes he has the right to keep a rare tiger from India as a pet, who he has acquired like a possession.

This Tiger is two months old (Dec. 2015) and faces a life of misery confined to a cage!

Why? Just because he can.

According to Berk Çektir, a Turkish lawyer, animals are mistreated in Turkey every day.

Berk Çektir explains, They are beaten, tortured, killed, raped, abandoned and whatever other evil thing you can or cannot imagine is done to animals”.

This can happen because at present, “there is no legislation in Turkey that protects the rights of animals”.

However, there is currently a draft bill before Parliament which aims to better protect animals against the cruelty of humans.

If this bill is passed it would mean that there will be a chance that anyone committing cruel acts against animals will be charged and given a prison sentence and/or fined.

In the light of the above, it warmed my heart to read about these compassionate people in Turkey.Cats in TurkeyDedicated to all nonhuman animals who live and die for human greed!

A POINT IS MADE ABOUT THE CRUEL FUR TRADE

‬There are inadequate animal protection laws in China, which is the world’s largest fur exporter in the world.

It was, therefore, encouraging to read about this creative yet powerful anti-fur exhibition in China.

To make a strong “point” about the pain animals go through for the despicable fur trade, these fur-creature-statues were constructed out of pins!

They were displayed alongside footage about the fur industry.
